Mrs. Albright is delighted to continue as the Principal of Pleasant Valley Intermediate School. She is dedicated to leading and supporting the students, teachers, and staff. Mrs. Albright looks forward to another year of inspiring and supporting the school community in achieving success and growth.
Prior to her role as principal, Mrs. Albright was the assistant principal at PVE for five years. Mrs. Albright has always enjoyed working with elementary-age students. Before becoming an administrator, Mrs. Albright taught second grade in Allentown School District for 11 years. She earned her bachelor's degree from Moravian College and has two graduate degrees from Wilkes University. She achieved National Board Certification in 2013 and her Educational Leadership Certification in 2018.
Mrs. Albright believes in open communication and ensuring that the school is a welcoming environment, providing students with an enriching and engaging learning experience. Please reach out if you ever have any questions, concerns, or ideas!
Mrs. Lauryn Bencker, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Bencker is absolutely thrilled to be joining the wonderful team at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School as the new assistant principal. She strongly believes in the incredible power of education to bring about positive change and is wholeheartedly dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of every child. She firmly believes that every child has the ability to learn and is committed to taking a holistic approach to education.
Before taking on this role, Mrs. Bencker had the honor of teaching in several school districts, including Allentown, Fleetwood, and Bethlehem Area School Districts. Her primary focus has been on teaching grades 1 through 4, with a special emphasis on the intermediate grades. Currently, she is working towards her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership at ESU. Her educational journey has included obtaining a Masters of Education in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University, and an ESOL certification from Moravian University.
Mrs. Bencker strongly believes in the importance of collaborating with students, families, staff, and the community to collectively impact education. Communication, active listening, understanding different perspectives, and empathy are all values that she holds dear and integrates into her leadership every day. Mrs. Bencker is genuinely excited to bring her experience and passion for education to Pleasant Valley Intermediate School and looks forward to working together with everyone to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all our students.
